Who We Are

Local Quality Pros is a Palm Beach County–focused directory that connects homeowners with licensed, insured home-service professionals. We cover everything from electricians and plumbers to pool technicians, landscapers, roofers, and HVAC specialists across all 18 cities in Palm Beach County — from Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens in the north to Boca Raton and Delray Beach in the south.

We started this site because national directories are full of outdated listings, fake reviews, and businesses that haven't been active in years. South Florida homeowners deserve better. We built the tool we wished existed.

Our Palm Beach County Focus

We serve all 18 cities in Palm Beach County, including West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Lake Worth Beach, Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, Riviera Beach, North Palm Beach, Palm Beach, Lake Park, Lantana, Greenacres, Palm Springs, Loxahatchee, and Belle Glade.

Because we're hyperlocal, every business in our directory is based in or actively serves Palm Beach County. We don't show you a plumber from Orlando because they rank nationally. We show you the plumber who drove to Delray Beach last Tuesday.

How We Vet Professionals

Before a business earns our Verified badge, we check three things:

• License verification — We cross-reference Florida's state licensing database to confirm the business holds a valid, active license for the trade they advertise. Unlicensed contractors are never Verified, no matter how many reviews they have.
• Insurance confirmation — We require proof of general liability insurance. If a pro damages your property, you need to know they're covered. We ask for a current certificate of insurance before awarding the Verified badge.
• Recent review activity — A business with zero reviews in the past year doesn't get a Verified badge, even if their license is active. Verified means actively working, not just registered.

The 12-Month Review Rule

This is our most important feature. Every rating you see on Local Quality Pros is calculated exclusively from reviews submitted in the last 12 months. Reviews older than one year are stored for historical reference but are never included in the displayed score.

Why? Because a 4.8-star rating from 2019 tells you almost nothing about a contractor's quality today. Staff turns over. Ownership changes. A company that was great three years ago might be terrible now — or vice versa. We believe homeowners deserve current data, not an inflated legacy score that coasts on old goodwill.

If a business has no reviews in the past 12 months, we say so clearly. No score is shown. That transparency matters to us.

The Team Behind It

Local Quality Pros is maintained by a small, Palm Beach County–based team of homeowners and tech professionals who got frustrated one too many times with unreliable contractor recommendations. Our editor Tim Palladino oversees content quality, vetting standards, and makes sure the information you read is accurate and up to date.

We don't accept payment for higher rankings. A business cannot buy a better position in our search results. Featured listings are available for a nominal fee, but they're clearly labeled as featured — they never outrank a business with a stronger recent rating in organic results.
